I would like to thank the officers and committee for hosting a super show, on a rather cold and damp day. Also to the exhibitors, for presenting their dogs in a clean and sportsman like way, and to my wonderful steward, who did a sterling jog – thank you The Special Hampers offered by the society were superb! I was delighted with the BIS line up, with some super dogs present, any of whom could have taken the top spot

Bichon Frise – what a little show off this 2 year old bitch was, she walked into the ring and owned it. When stood looked totally balanced, Lovely head, and good depth to body, immaculately presented and at one with her hander on the move, where she showed good reach and drive and maintaining a lovely shape

Bedlington Terrier – A 13 month old dog, who took my eye as he entered the big ring, with such an air of confidence and spirit yet showing himself off to advantage. Found he had a balanced head piece, well placed ears and a dark eye. Reachy neck with good placement to give the characteristic high head carriage, good depth and arch over the loin, shown in good coat and well presented

Brindle whippet, just reaching the end of her puppy career, and what a lovely neat package this young bitch is. Such elegance and refinement yet having strength. Came into the ring showing , free, clean and true movement. Loved her long and lean head, elegant neck, chest with a well let down, correct arch over the loin, and good width to thigh. Delighted to award her BPIS

Super black Lhasa Apso bitch, lots to like about this youngster who never stopped showing. Showing balance in outline when stacked. Correctly proportioned head with good furnishings, straight front, showing good spring to the ribs, well angulated rear, pleased to see she kept a firm and level topline both stood and on the move, and to finish off, in first class coat and presentation, moving out well to take RBPIS

11 month old Vizsla, a youngster with promise, but the handler needs to get to grips with her to get the best out of her both stood and on the move. She has a balanced head shape, eye colour toning with coat, good length to the neck, straight front, would have liked feet a little more round. Good depth of brisket for her age, with correct moderate rear angulation. Moved out steady and true once settled.

This 9 ½ year old Welsh Springer bitch did bring a smile to my face, what a joy to watch, such a happy disposition, she can move true and with plenty of drive. Shown in super condition, her coat gleamed and a beautiful rich red colour, feminine head which is hardly showing any signs of age, super depth and ribbing, perhaps a little heavier over the shoulders, good width of thigh and bend to stifle. Delighted to award her BV
